16 – Star Inside

Allamanda (Allamanda cathartica)

Keyword – Discovering Self

What if there is more within you than you have ever allowed yourself to discover?

Feelings of inadequacy, shame or insignificance can leave us believing we have little of value to offer. We may hide, compare ourselves with others, imitate those we admire or abandon desires before exploring them because we have already concluded that we are not capable, interesting or important enough.

Star Inside invites you to turn inward with curiosity. Within every individual are unique qualities, desires, gifts, creativity and capacities waiting to be discovered, developed and expressed. Healing is not about manufacturing a more impressive version of yourself; it can gradually reveal more of the person who was there beneath the injuries and false conclusions all along.

Like the brilliant yellow Allamanda with its star-like centre, this essence invites you to recognise your own light without needing to become the star. Shining is not the same as seeking attention. Genuine expression does not require applause, superiority or comparison, nor does another person’s brilliance diminish your own.

Discovering what is within is only the beginning. Desire may reveal something you long to explore, create, learn or contribute, but eventually your will is required to give that potential expression. The star may be inside, but you choose whether to let its light become visible.

Invitation: This essence invites you to explore where inadequacy, comparison, fear of visibility or the need for recognition may distort how you see yourself — and to become curious about the unique qualities, desires, gifts and potential within you that are waiting to be discovered and expressed.
