09 – Divine Grace

Monkey Pod (Pithecellobium saman)

Keywords: Helping Hand

What if taking responsibility for your healing does not mean you have to do it all alone?

Divine Grace invites you to soften the belief that everything must be achieved through your own effort. Healing asks for your sincere participation — a willingness to face truth, feel what needs to be felt, make loving changes and take the steps that are yours to take. But self-responsibility does not have to become self-reliance.

Grace is the helping hand that accompanies sincere effort. Rather than rescuing you from your healing or doing the work for you, Divine Grace invites you to allow God to walk alongside you — supporting you with Love as you experience what needs to be experienced and make the changes that are yours to make.

There can be a softening in grace. Like the delicate Monkey Pod flower whose fine filaments eventually soften and surrender their form, you can begin to release the struggle of constantly holding yourself up. You can remain responsible for your healing while becoming more receptive to support, cooperation and loving assistance.
