Can there be peace around you while conflict remains unresolved within you?

A longing for peace can sometimes lead you to avoid disagreement, walk on eggshells, placate others or suppress what you truly feel. At other times, unresolved hurt, fear and anger may emerge as defensiveness, judgement, argument or a need to be right.

Emissary of Peace invites you to look beyond the conflicts happening around you and become curious about the conflicts occurring within you. Rather than simply seeking the absence of confrontation, it asks what creates genuine peace — within yourself, your relationships and ultimately the wider world.

Becoming an emissary of peace does not require passivity or silence. It can mean laying down the emotional weapons of blame, retaliation, self-righteousness and judgement while developing the courage to engage with disagreement through truth, fairness, compassion and loving action.
